MICHAEL V. MCINTIRE Attorney and Counselor at Law Michael McIntire, an Ohio native, graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He served on active duty as an engineering officer in the United States Air Force, after which he earned his JD degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin. He has practiced law in California and taught in nationally accredited law schools throughout the country. Mr. McIntire is a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, a select national organization of attorneys committed to creating estate plans that work. Attorneys in the Network believe that estate planning is an ongoing process, rather than merely a collection of documents. Because Network attorneys create estate plans only after extensive client counseling, coordinate the plans closely with the clients’ financial advisors and regularly update the estate plans, their clients enjoy the assurance that their estate plans are personalized and will fulfill their objectives. In his long career, Mr. McIntire has practiced law in San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, Santa Monica and Big Bear Lake, and has taught full-time in the law schools at the University of Wyoming, University of Syracuse and the University of Notre Dame Law School. He has published extensively in a variety of legal journals and magazines. Mr. McIntire resides in Big Bear Lake with his wife, Miriam. They have five sons, two of whom graduated from Big Bear High School. His son, Chris, practices law with him in Big Bear. Mr. and Mrs. McIntire have seven grandchildren.
